Parade of Nations
Following much discussion it is confirmed that the Parade of Nations will be held outdoors in the traditional manner. Several accommodations will be provided to minimize the impact of the heat. These include an earlier step off time, tents with cooling capabilities, shorter parade route, misting systems and plenty of water. Some recommendations are provided below for properly preparing for the summer heat.
The parade will be held in “Downtown” Las Vegas, not the famous “Strip”. This will offer participants the opportunity to visit the original section of the city that remains a popular tourist area. The parade will terminate near the Fremont Street Experience and it is worth remaining there to explore the old casinos and watch street performers. This is a covered pedestrian mall which also offers the opportunity to zip-line several city blocks. The Mob Museum is located nearby and is a must-see for those interested in the history of organized crime in America.
